Food doesn’t have to be fancy to be delicious. Whatever you call them – chicken tenders, chicken fingers or chicken strips – they are delicious. Better yet, it’s a cheap meal that kids and adults will eat with few complaints. You don’t even need deep fryer.

Ingredients
- 1 Lb of chicken cutlets, or whole chicken breasts cut into strips
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 Cup of milk
- 1 Cup Flour
- 2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning (this is my secret ingredient)
- Salt to taste – I add about 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil – enough to fill the bottom of a deep skillet or pan about 1/2 inch deep.
If you don’t have Old Bay seasoning in the cupboard, I highly recommend you get a can. That being said, if you are in a hurry and need a substitute you can mix up a batch of KFC style seasoning with the recipe found here.
Directions
- Cut the chicken into strips (skip this step if you are using chicken cutlets)
- Mix the flour, Old Bay and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
- In a second medium or large bowl mix the eggs and the milk.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or skillet on medium high heat.
- Dredge (fancy cooking word for roll around in) a strip of chicken in the flour/spice mixture, then dip it in the egg/milk liquid. Allow the excess liquid to drip back into the bowl and then roll it in the flour again.
- Place Chicken in the hot oil. Repeat this process for each piece of chicken. You don’t want to crowd the pieces in the pan, so you may have to cook the strips in two or three batches.
7. Cook until the bottom start to brown, about 2-3 minutes. Then flip each piece over and cook until brown, about another 2-3 minutes.
8. When well browned on both sides remove from pan and put on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve with your favorite sauce!
